panaway2What are your New Year’s Resolutions? I have a ton. As usual. I always want to spend more time with family. I want to spend more time doing things that I love. And, I usually exclaim that this will be the year that I leave my unfulfilling full-time job. 2019 is my year! Fingers crossed. Whatever the year, I’m always trying to improve myself. Sometimes, I succeed.  Sometimes, I fail. This year, I’m focusing on being a better wife, sister, daughter and friend.  I’m working on being more aware of what I’m putting on my body, in my body and what I use around my home.  Now, I do love good food and wine.  So, that will be my absolute challenge.  I’m married to a half Italian/half Irish man.  He loves to cook, and he cooks very well.  And, I love eating whatever he makes.

Probably in spite of this, over the past year I’ve been the most dedicated to an exercise regimen than ever before.  This has surprised me and my husband!  Having belonged to various gyms over the years and never going I finally found one that I actually want to go to each day!  What’s even more strange is that I get up at the butt-crack of dawn to make it to a 5:30 a.m.  camp!  Never, in a million years would I have ever thought I would willingly do this.  But, it’s not your typical gym (it’s boot camp) which works way better for me and how I prefer to exercise.  Anyway, it has an annual 6-week challenge during the New Year. I love this challenge, since I usually over-celebrate during the holidays. However, over the past few weeks I’ve developed an annoying pinched nerve in my neck/shoulder blade area which is causing pain and tingling up and down my arm and fingers. Has this ever happened to you?  This is the second time in a year it’s happened, and I believe it’s time for a new bed and/or pillow.  But, I digress… I’ve been using an oil on where I think the pinched nerve is originating, and it has been helping. If I can use an oil to help with pain instead of taking a drug…I’m all for it (see my New Year’s resolution up top).  The oil, I’m referring to is called Pan-Away. Which you can read as “pain away”. I’m not saying it’s a cure to my pinched nerve. I’m still going to see my acupuncturist on Monday.  But, it has been a huge help since I work out and sit at a desk for the rest of the day—think arm and hand at an angle to move a mouse, etc… I’m sure you can imagine.

So, that oil was a nice discovery to help with my annoying pain.  Plus, it just feels really good.  I look forward to trying other oils that are formulated for deeper relief!

I hope you feel free to share some of your resolutions with me. The New Year always feels like it can be a reset button. And, that can give us all hope.
