I don’t know if you’re like me and afraid to try new things, but I’ve always been afraid to try certain new-to-me foods or flavors. I don’t have any food allergies nor am I on a medically restrictive diet. I’m 46. I should be over this by now! And what’s to be afraid of? Well, that’s probably a question for another type of blog entirely!
Yesterday, I womaned-up and added a drop of grapefruit oil to my water. Are you asking if this was something I was afraid to try? The answer is, yes. It was. I really don’t even have a reason why I was hesitant. Because it’s new? Different? I don’t feel that way when I try a different kind of wine! I tried lemon oil in water last week (which was also scary). It was a bit strong for me. But, not totally unpleasant. I’m not like my husband who eats lemon rinds on the regular just because he likes the taste!
I love all things citrus. Including grapefruit. But, I was just unsure if it was going to be strong like the lemon oil. It wasn’t! It was very light and very refreshing. Thank goodness, because I drink water all day. It would be nice to have some flavor once in a while! And since I’m being more active in reducing my sugar intake (#goals), this is a natural way to flavor my water. I call this a win-win.

So, in retrospect, I’m very glad I “stepped out of my comfort zone” and tried this new-to-me way to enjoy water. Are you hesitant to try any new ways to use essential oils? If so, what are they? Also, if you’re like how I was last year and have never tried using an essential oil before, please feel free to check out my link in my links page. Or, here. https://bit.ly/2L2KLDx
